ABOUT ME

Hi! I am Sydney

I am a recent graduate from the University of Chicago, where I completed my Master's degree of the Social Sciences with a concentration in history. My thesis topic was centered around Victorian era British fashion and how women made a space for themselves in public through their clothing.

However, now that I am finished with school, I wanted a place to share what I know and also make connections to current day styles and trends.

One day, I dream of working in a museum with clothing & textiles, but until then I am working in my local library.

TRAVELING

Fortunately, I have been so lucky to have had the opportunity to go to England for study abroad while in college. While traveling my favorite thing to do is always going to museums, especially ones that have a fashion collection or exhibition. I once even took a trip with my mom just to see a limited time Marie Antoinette exhibition at the Victoria & Albert museum in London. The historical dresses were amazing to see of course, but I was also so impressed with the contemporary dresses that have been inspired by her style.
